CALEDONIA FURY

CALEDONIA FURY, in the Community Central Halls, Maryhill, Glasgow, was a MAJOR success on Saturday night, the 15th March.

Craig Bradford, the excellent young protege of Lex Easdon, won the I.K.F., Commonwealth, Super Middleweight title, with a truly deserved unanimous decision !  It was a great fight worthy of the title, and his opponent - Greg Darmon, from Sheffield, contributed to a truly excellent contest with an excellent performance.

The FULL supporting undercard featured Alex Davidson from Coatbridge, defending the S.K.B.F. Scottish, Super Welterweight Thai Boxing title in a good matchup with late replacement - Duncan Ireland, from Caledonian Muay Thai, Glasgow.  Unfortunately, Alex D. was disqualified in the 3rd round for an illegal action, making the new Champion Ireland !

The Undercard also featured some excellent contests in K-1 League, Kick Boxing and Thai Boxing.  A FULL Fight card, results and report will be posted shortly.

*****  NOTE  *****

THE WHOLE EVENT, AND THE MAIN TITLE CONTEST, WERE DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF THE CANADIAN POLISH FIGHTER -

TOMASZ KUCHARCEWSKI

WHO'S SUDDEN AND UNTIMELY DEATH WAS ANNOUNCED A FEW DAYS AGO.

B.G.I.'s director and 6 time World, Thai & Kick Boxing Champion Duncan Airlie James fought Tomasz way back in 2000, in Atlantic City, U.S.A.

The VERY Best Wishes are going out to Tomasz's family, friends, Albert Mady his trainer, and all connected with Tomasz, at this sad time.
